Accessing files used in the book
chapters
Q: Where do I find the VectorWorks and image files
mentioned in the book?
A: The
CD contains a folder entitled Support Files. Inside this
folder are additional folders containing Vectorworks files
(and a few Photoshop files as well). Each folder is named
after the associated chapter in the book. Many of the
included VectorWorks files already contain the required
textures.
Please note that not all the image files are
included–you may need to import your own.
To open the associated VectorWorks files, it is best to
copy them onto your hard drive and open them from there.

Q: When I hit Shaders> Color> image color, rather
than getting a choose image dialog box, I get an open file
box. I know it's there, I just can't find it.
A: Yes, you're correct; it's a small error in the
description of the procedure. The first time you perform
this operation on a file, you will indeed be taken directly
to the Import Quicktime Image Document box, where you will
select an image file to import. But after you do this the
first time, any subsequent instances will, in fact, open
the Choose Image Dialog box as described.
